Tara studied Mechanical Engineering as an undergrad and moved on to work in the nuclear and biotech industry where she got a PhD in Cutting Through Red Tape -- basically, she learned to work in a highly regulated environment. In her role as Quality Engineer at PAX, she gets to work in a very exciting industry on revolutionary products with people that inspire her, to say the least. She works with International teams and has gained a deeper understanding of sociolinguistics, the little cultural things that make us all unique and the big things that make us all the same.
A not-at-all-recent grad from Cornell University, Amanda was born and raised in NYC but is now living with several house plants in SF. She loves street vendor hot dogs, white sneakers, and taking pictures of food. She was the lead Android Dev at Venmo before moving over to the world of consulting where she worked at thoughbot before finding her new home at PAX as the mobile engineering manager.
